What is the difference between 5" and 12" pop-up sprinklers?

Pop-up height clears turf and groundcover. Use taller pop-ups (6–12") where grass is thick or beds have foliage that would block a short nozzle. Short 2–4" pop-ups suit hardscape edges and low turf.
